Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’ stars reunite: ‘All grown up’

NEW YORK, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants fans were thrilled to see the movie’s stars reunite over the weekend.

Blake Lively, America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn, who played Bridget Vreeland, Carmen Lowell, Lena Kaligaris and Tibby Tomko-Rollins in the 2005 film, came together Friday.

“All grown up. #blakesfingerinmynose #ambersfingerinmymouth #alexisisatruelady #sisterlove #holdtighttotheonesyoulove,” Ferrera captioned a pair of playful group photos on Instagram.

Sisterhood is based on the Ann Brashares novel of the same name and earned $42 million at the box office. A sequel, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, was released in 2008, and Lively recently expressed interest in a third movie.

“There is a strong chance there might be a third,” she told Entertainment Weekly Radio in June. “The four of us are still best friends and to be able to create something together again is something that’s always been a dream of ours.”

“It would have to be something that really made sense. If you wait this long to do a third movie, it needs to honor the story and the legacy,” the star qualified. “We wouldn’t be making a movie for 16-year-olds again. We would be making a movie trusting that our audience grew up with us.”

Lively called Ferrera, Bledel and Tamblyn her “friends and mentors” in an interview with People the same month. The actress last starred in The Shallows and will next appear in All I See is You with Jason Clarke.
