WASHINGTON, Luxury automaker Ferrari is recalling its limited-edition California T sports car over the risk of fuel leaks and fires.

2016 models built between Sept. 8 and Nov. 11, with a base price of $231,606, may experience low pressure fuel lines and may not properly attach to the fuel pump, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced in a recent advisory.
The NHTSA reports Ferrari North America has contacted 185 vehicle owners and dealers to ensure they get the affected vehicles repaired for free.
Ferrari notified dealers of the safety recall in November, asking them not to sell, deliver or use any California T model with VIN numbers listed in an accompanying document. They described the issue as a “potentially improperly manufactured fuel pipe from the supplier.”
