 American-Systems-providing-Air-Force-test-and-evaluation-services. WASHINGTON, The U.S. Air Force has contracted American Systems to provide operational test and evaluation services related to fighter systems and programs.

The award, issued by the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract worth $85 million, the Department of Defense said.

Services to be provided for fourth- and fifth-generation aircraft include a broad range of engineering, technical, and analytical test services, including integrated test functions for Air Force and multi-service fighter aircraft acquisition programs; test design; and test planning, execution, and reporting.

The company’s work will be performed at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., and at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.

The Defense Department said $2,340,704 was obligated at the time of award.
